The Main purpose for this event is for advertising IEEE WIE and for students to socialize with professional members. This event was held in the T-room in Sexton Campus, Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS. It was from 17:00-20:00. Posters and flyers about WIE were set up before the event. Before the event, posters and flyers were designed for advertising purposes. Invations were sent out via emails to students. The tickets were free to all IEEE members and $5 CAD charge for non-members.
During the event, there were about 40 people came and 80% were students. Pizzas and pops were provided to people. In the event, Vice chair of Canadian Atlantic Section Affinity Group talked about what WIE is, and benefits to become a WIE member.
