One of the workshops in "HyWIT 2017" series. Started with a daily life example to illustrate the intuition behind the Viterbi algorithm. Showed how the algorithm is used to decode convolutional codes. Moved on to applications in channel estimation. Concluded with an application of the algorithm in Trellis Coded Modulation. Octave scripts of the Viterbi Algorithm were shared with all the partipants.
