Hello Young Professionals,
My name is Brian Albertson and I’m your newly elected Young Professionals chair for the Southern Minnesota Section. Our section’s board members want to better serve young members this year, so they asked me for ideas. I proposed a collection of events that I hope will benefit you in three ways:
- Help you discover your interests
- Build your career and resume
- Provide informal networking opportunities
The first event will be dinner and drinks at Grand Rounds in Rochester. As an IEEE member, your meal will be covered. Please register your attendance using the "Register Now" button. If that doesn't work, you may send an email to brian.albertson@ieee.org to RSVP. Feel free to bring anyone that’s interested in becoming an IEEE member. Their meals will be covered too.
Planned events include go-karts, technical workshops, local volunteering, industry tours, grill-outs, and an escape room. This is a new program, so if there’s something you’re looking to get out of IEEE or an event you’d like to have, please come and share! We’ll do as much as we can so that you can feel like you’re getting value back from your membership dues.
