Chelsea Giles of San Antonio River Authority

Chelsea Giles will be giving SARA’s (San Antonio River Authority) presentation “Our Love of the River Runs Deep”. “Our Love of the River Runs Deep” explores the history of SARA and how staff are currently using science, engineering and operational expertise to ensure the river and creeks are safe, clean and enjoyable. The presentation will also share ways community members can be involved to support’s SARA’s mission.

Biography:

Chelsea Giles currently serves as Intergovernmental Relations Coordinator for the San Antonio River Authority’s (SARA) southern basin counties of Wilson, Karnes and Goliad. Chelsea works toward SARA’s mission for safe, clean and enjoyable creeks and rivers by developing relationships with partner government agencies and community members to share information and implement best practices that are beneficial both for landowners and the San Antonio River watershed. Her favorite activity on the San Antonio River is exploring the parks and historic Missions along the Mission Reach.
