Synopsis of the talk:

BC Hydro runs a major portion of the provincial electrical grid from two Control Centers, FVO and SIO.  This presentation will introduce you to Fraser Valley Operations, and how it runs during both normal and emergency situations caused by avalanches and storms.

Biography:

Brett Hallborg is a System Control Manager at Fraser Valley Office.  Brett has been with BC Hydro for 28 years, working in various aspects of System Operations including generation, transmission and distribution.  He is also a member of the Safety Practices Committee and represents BC Hydro on various external committees including NERC.
