Topic:

An AOC Technical Course presented by Dave Adamy,

Radar Electronic Protection introduces techniques used in modern threats (unclassified) focusing on their impact upon the way we intercept and jam threat radars. It starts with a discussion of the one-way communication link, reviews important jamming techniques, concluding with presentation the important Electronic Protection techniques.

During lunch, Rohde & Schwarz will demonstrate some of the Radar EP & DRFM concepts presented by Dave.  This includes the use of the R&S®FSW & R&S®SMW (Signal Analyzer and Signal Source) used in Radar Echo Generation mode demonstrating RGPO/VGPO techniques.  Advanced pulse signal analysis, coherent signal generation, and streaming PDW configurations are also available.

Advanced Radar Electronic Protection presents additional techniques used in modern threats (unclassified) focusing on their impact upon the way we intercept and jam threat radars. This advanced class goes into more detail on modern pulse Doppler and pulse compression radar signal processing and jamming waveforms.  Because of classification, the techniques will be discussed technically - not related to specific threat radars, except as discussed in open literature.
