WIE/YP Hike Mount Major
Sick and tired of sitting all day infront of a computer dreaming of a day where you can escape the office? Dreading the long New England winter? Yes, I know the feeling. So let's get out of that office, stretch our legs, and see some beautiful fall foliage before the blizzard 2018 shuts us all in. WIE/YP is hosting a hiking event at Mount Major. This is a moderate loop of 4 miles (total) and 1,100 feet elevation with a rewarding view.
We will meet at the trailhead. Trailhead parking is located just off of Route 11 in the Mt. Major Parking Lot. Although it is a rather large parking lot, it does often fill up rather quickly on nice summer days. Luckily, however, parking is allowed near the lot on the side of Route 11. Maps and porta potties can be found in the parking lot and the trailheads are located at the far end.
