The Los Angeles Department of Water & Power’s (LADWP’s) Haynes Generating Station (HnGS) is the largest in-basin power plant in Southern California. It has an operating capacity of 1,666 megawatts and has 15 generating units onsite, 11 of which are still operational. Phase I repowering completed in 2005 and included construction of a 2+1 combined cycle capable of both natural gas and liquid fuel firing. Phase II repowering completed in 2013 and included construction of 6 simple-cycle GE LMS100 Units. Construction of these new units significantly improved plant emissions, dispatchability, and greatly enhanced plant efficiency.

It is located in Seal Beach, near the SusTech Conference Hotel.
