Several technologies such as sensors, wearables, connectivity, big data/analytics and apps are converging advancing both the healthcare and wellness at an accelerating rate. This cycle is bound to disrupt the delivery of services engaging individuals in a way that was not feasible before.

Smart connectivity among care providers, empowering IoT and delivering a greater impact and advance services to multiple markets by 2020’s.

This summit will introduce the concept and vision of IoT and architectural evolution impacting many markets such as home, health, automotive, enterprise, transportation and infrastructure. This will be enriched by several examples.

The talk will focus on advancement of technology and impact on healthcare and wellness exploring current and emerging solutions at hospitals, clinics, care centers and homes. Solution building blocks include sensing, aggregation, and data analytics. Examples of some of the adjacent technologies such as 3D, Robot, Drone and Wearables will be highlighted. Finally the talk will conclude with some of the factors and challenges to deliver scalable solutions, delivering better quality of services and experience. These include development platforms, 5G, virtualization, collaborative applications and security.

The proposed program include the following segments:

b) Examples of current and future smart solution for healthcare and Wellness
c) Challenges and consideration for an integrated delivery and support system

Fawzi is the president of Telnet Management Consulting, Inc. Fawzi is a visionary, thought leader, author, entrepreneur, and evangelist in advancing the adoption of technology in serving humanity. Fawzi spent over 35 years in the industry and held various executive and leadership positions with Tier 1 companies in the areas of communications and networks spanning service provider, equipment vendor, and semiconductor in US and Canada. Core competencies include strategic planning, product management, solution development and GOTO market.

Fawzi is passionate about technology automation and has founded TelNet Management Consulting Inc. in 2009 offering professional services in the areas of technology trends, and IoT/AI/5G technology positioning, smart networking solutions development for key markets such as healthcare, mobility, energy, public safety and smart cities.

Fawzi has been a keynote & distinguished speaker, and presenter at several domestic and international conferences. Fawzi has several publications and co-authored a new book on the subject of future IoT “Collaborative Internet of Things for Future Smart Connected Life and Business “ published by Wiley.

Fawzi is a senior member of IEEE and is currently a Distinguished Lecturer for IEEE Communications and vice chair for IEEE ComSoc North America, and board member of Austin CityUp. Fawzi is currently chair of IEEE Central Texas and Region 5 Committee chair of conferences. Fawzi was a recipient of several awards from Industry and IEEE. Most recent is 2017 IEEE Communications Society Chapter of the Year award and IEEE USA Regional Leadership Award.

Fawzi holds a Bachelor of Science with honors and distinction, Masters in Computer Science, and Executive MBA.
