Vážení členové Československé sekce IEEE,

Je mou milou povinností pozvat vás na výroční schůzi / valnou hromadu Československé sekce IEEE, která se tento rok bude konat na půdě Žilinské univerzity v Žilině (podrobnější informace jsou níže). Kromě tradiční zprávy o činnosti bychom rádi v příjemném a přátelském prostředí otevřeli diskusi o vašich podnětech, jak vám IEEE může pomoci ve vašem každodenním životě. Letos bychom rádi oslovili také členy IEEE z průmyslu, čímž bychom rádi vytvořili prostor pro diskusi s akademickým prostředím.

Kromě výboru Československé sekce IEEE budete mít možnost potkat se se zástupci IEEE Region 8 a sousedních sekcí (věříme, že se jim všem podaří přijet).

K dobré náladě a příjemné atmosféře přispěje i tradiční raut. V omezené míře jsme schopni zajistit i ubytování na UZ Veľký diel (https://www.iklub.sk/?q=ubytko&kam=26), proto prosím na odkazu níže v registraci zaznamenejte svoje preference. Požadavek na ubytování ale není garantovaný, budeme vás kontaktovat individuálně s potvrzením.

Registrace je otevřena do 2.12.2018, 23:50.

Podrobnosti o akci (přesné místo konání) oznámíme až po uzavření registrací, kdy budeme znát přesnější odhad počtu účastníků.

Dear members of IEEE Czechoslovakia Section,

I'm pleased to invite you to the Annual meeting of the IEEE Czechoslovakia Section, which will be held at the University of Zilina, Slovakia (details are listed below). Along with the traditional report of our activities, we would like to invite you to a discussion on what could be the benefit of the IEEE to your daily life. We would like to also invite Industry members and to create a bridge between Academia and Industry.

Besides the section's committee, there will be an opportunity to meet the representatives of IEEE Region 8 Committee and from neighbour sections (we strongly believe they will be able to come).

The reception and dinner is planned to create friendly and unformal atmosphere. In the case you need an accommodation, please select this option in the registration (link below). Since the capacity is limited, please make sure to register early and also please wait for the confirmation we will send you individually. The accommodation is planned to be at the dormitory (https://www.iklub.sk/?q=ubytko&kam=26).

The registration is opened to December 2nd.

Venue details will be shared later in order to fit the number of registrants.

From Idea to Product Working

From Idea to Product working, the Apple and Tetra Pak way 
After this seminar you will understand what it takes to bring an idea into a real, global product, using the creative methods used by for example Apple and Tetra Pak. You will learn how to systematically road-test your ideas by studying the expected market for the product, the competition you will meet and evaluate your team. You will get tools to pursue product and service development from real needs in society. 

Biography:

Margaretha Eriksson is IEEE Region 8 Director-Elect 2015-2016 and Director 2017-2018. She  received her M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from The Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden, in 1988. In 1989 she founded Irbis Konsult AB, a consulting company involved with Engineering Management, Information and Cyber Security. Margaretha has consulted with international corporations as IBM, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, Ericsson, Saab, ABB, Bombardier, Tetra Pak, and Volvo. She is a PhD student in Information Security since 2006 at Stockholm University/KTH. Since 2010 she is lecturing on Risk analysis and Information Security at Halmstad University. Margaretha has worked internationally at JCI (jci.cc), a global NGO working with leadership and entrepreneurial development since 1983, as a skilled and inspiring trainer, and international leader. She was awarded “Most outstanding JCI Senator in the World” 2006. She has served on the board of the Association of JCI Senators in Europe 2007-2012 and as the President 2012-2013. She lives by the Baltic Sea close to Stockholm, Sweden.
