The Internet of Things, or IoT is in explosive growth right now, with some 20 billion wireless devices presently operating worldwide.
With the variety of different applications, modulation types and protocols on the air, it is inevitable that interference results on the limited bands commonly used by IoT devices.
Techniques for measuring a devices’ ability to communicate in this “Interference of Things” are developing, and the field is named “Wireless Coexistence.”
This presentation will review the history of the problem, the current state of Wireless Coexistence testing and a look at instruments and methods for its evaluation.

Biography:

Chris Kelly is an Applications Engineer for Keysight Technologies in Loveland and holds MS degree from Colorado State University.
Chris has been with HP, Agilent and Keysight since 1983, and spent 33 years in R&D designing
14 successful products in Data Acquisition, Digital Multimeters and Signal Sources fields and is named inventor on 6 US patents.
Presently Chris is an Applications Engineer working on Wireless Coexistence measurements, primarily for IoT devices.
He holds a Amateur Extra class ham radio license and enjoys designing and building antennas for various bands.
