IEEE Houston Consultants Network - Gemera; Business Meeting - "Complying with the Rules and Regulations for Professional Engineers"


IEEE Houston Consultants Network will have a general meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 on Thursday February 7th at the Clayton Library Center at 5300 Caroline St., Houston, TX  77004.  After an initial networking session with snacks provided, Shannon Quadros, MSEE, J.D., will provide a presentation on "Complying with the Rules and Regulations for Professional Engineers"

Complying with the Rules and Regulations for Professional Engineers

Shannon will cover how to comply with the Texas Board of Professional Engineering rules and regulations for professional engineers from a legal perspective.  He will also cover some aspects of ethics as applied to the legal requirements.

Biography:

Shannon Quadros, an IEEE member since 1996 and former director of IEEE-Houston, is a shareholder at Kilmer Crosby & Walker PLLC.   Shannon is a trial lawyer with a focus on construction and real-estate disputes as well as issues dealing with control over intellectual property before, during, and after the employment relationship.  He served as Co-chair for the Houston Bar Association's Minority Opportunity in Law Program for 2014-15 and serves in the HBA's Gender Fairness Committee for 2016.   Shannon serves as a mediator and arbitrator in Houston for the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center and the BBB.
