In the near term, Amtrak has a series of improvements that will deliver expanded capacity and more efficient operations today. At this presentation, Amtrak staff will discuss the current and planned track infrastructure improvements as well as the Claytor Concourse Modernization Program which will reconfigure and modernize Union Station’s intercity and commuter concourse to double its capacity, help alleviate congested conditions, and enhance passenger comfort and accessibility.
