The Singapore Healthcare Engineering Forum 2019 (SHEF 2019) is jointly organized by Biomedical Engineering Society (Singapore), Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers - Engineering in Medicine and Biology (IEEE-EMB) Singapore Chapter, Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers – Women In Engineering (IEEE-WIE) Singapore Chapter, The Institution of Engineers, Singapore – Biomedical Engineering Technical Committee (IES-BETC), and Singapore Manufacturing Federation - Medical Technology Industry Group (SMF-MTIG). It is also supported by JTC Corporation.

This one-day forum aims to update, refresh and as well as highlight advances in the field of Healthcare Engineering from a multidisciplinary approach. The specially invited speakers will share their expert knowledge and insights with the audience on the newest developments in the following themes:

1) Patient Safety

2) Cybersecurity

3) Regulatory Challenges on Disruptive Innovation

4) Quality Standards on Manufacturing and Distribution

Prof James Goh (Head of Department, Department of Biomedical Engineering, National University of Singapore) is the Keynote Speaker for this symposium. A total of at least 8 other speakers will also be sharing, coming from various organizations. The 4 themes run sequentially, so participants will attend all themes. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
