Students form teams and using parts from various sources come up with the best robot. Last year pieces of a microwave were used along with CD's for wheels to form a working robot.
It is great fun, but they would like help from seasoned engineers. Most volunteers spend several hours with the students. You do not have to sign up for the full day.
If you have some motors,wheels,controllers or anything else that might be useful in robot building please consider donating those items.
