Tayfun is currently Research Scientist since  09/2018 with Oakland University, Rochester, Michigan (ECE Dept.)

He is also President of Virtual EM Inc., Ann Arbor, Michigan (http://www.virtualem.com), which he Co-founded in 2002 and led the development of many disruptive technologies in the areas of tunable antennas, HPC, embedded wireless, IoT, and machine learning. Virtual EM currently employs five personnel with $1M annual revenue and has five commercial products on the market.

Biography:

Tayfun got his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering (Electromagnetics), in May /1998, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. His thesis was on Finite Element Analysis of Conformal Antennas. His Advisor was Prof. John L. Volakis
