Topic:

New Trends in Vehicle Electrification: Advancing e-Mobility Applications

Adoption of battery-electric vehicles is expected to grow from 2 percent in 2016 to 9 percent by 2030, which is driving a business investment of $500 million over the next five years in vehicle electrification research and development by the company’s e-Mobility business. Vehicle electrification solutions will need to handle multiple voltage levels from various electrical components. Heavy-duty electric vehicle transmissions for drayage applications in ports where trucks have a short cycle and extensive idling time apply compact inverters to drive emissions reductions through electrification. The presentation will offer an overview of commercial e-Mobility products produced at the Tualatin plant along with an update regarding new product developments. A brief tour of the development lab and the plant floor will follow the presentation.
