What am I doing with my life? (aka: “How to get your act together.”)

Our society in North America does a fantastic job of telling us everything we are not. We are not tall enough, light enough, smart enough, rich enough, networked enough, experienced enough, the list goes on. Marketing, social media, friends, family, and society put a lot of pressure and focus on telling you what they want, but what about what you want?

Do you know what you really want? When did you last spend quality time exploring your thoughts and passions? When was the last time you genuinely explored and wrote down a goal that you wanted to achieve? When was the last time you thought about that dream you had in your heart before you were a teen?

After spending the past twenty-plus years in leadership and the high-tech sector, surviving four major corporate acquisitions, and mentoring more than a hundred student interns, I’ve learned that investing in myself – exploring what I want, what I dream about, what my passions are – is one of the most valuable things I can spend my time doing.

The world needs you, in all your brilliance, genius, passion, and heart for change that you dream about. Let’s spend some time exploring some practical ways to figure out what you want to do with your life. Let’s get our act together, together.
