Our next chapter meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 12th, at the Phoenix campus of DeVry University. The June presentation will be given by Mark Goldstein, International Research Center and is titled The Autonomous Revolution of Vehicles & Transportation.

The meeting will begin at 6:00 PM with light refreshments and networking in the meeting room, followed by the presentation at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be held in room 106. Please enter via the SW entrance and follow the signs. The address of the venue is 2149 W Dunlap Avenue, Phoenix (about ½ mile east of I-17 on Dunlap). We thank DeVry University and its staff for permitting us to use their excellent venue for our meetings.

Mark Goldstein, President of International Research Center will deliver an updated and expanded version of "The Autonomous Revolution of Vehicles & Transportation" to the IEEE Computer Society Phoenix Chapter on June 12, 2019 at DeVry University’s Phoenix Campus. Mark will provide a detailed overview of the transformation of transportation through autonomous vehicles and the advent of Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS) on the ground and in the air including why Arizona is a hot bed for development and deployment, enabling sensor and communication technologies, and a forward-looking view of societal impact, markets, and opportunities. Waves of change will roll through the transportation industry and practices as autonomy ramps up in personal and mass transportation, as well as in logistics/delivery segments. Join us as we examine how autonomous vehicles will be developed, deployed, and monetized creating new business models across the transportation sector. Explore autonomous vehicles roadblocks and operational challenges, emerging standards and protocols, connected services and their associated big data strategies and opportunities.

Biography:

Mark Goldstein is President of International Research Center (http://www.researchedge.com/), providing consulting, custom research, and strategic support for business, legal and public policy clients across a variety of disciplines and arenas since 1992. Mark previously worked for 18 years in electronic and computer engineering including 12 years managing engineering teams and projects for Medtronic, a Fortune 500 biomedical device manufacturer. He worked in the mid-seventies for MicroAge in R&D at the beginning of the personal computer revolution.
