IEEE-Columbus WIE Engineering Outreach
The Columbus WIE section has been invited to participate in the Technology and Engineering Showcase at the 2019 Ohio State Fair. This is our sections third year of participation.
This showcase is an annual event hosted by Ohio Technology and Engineering Association.
This event is a great opportunity to speak to young people about science and engineering and the engineering profession. IEEE will be assigned a booth to showcase exhibits and children's activity materials.
We are in need of volunteers, and if you have an engineering designs that you wanted to showcase at the exhibit, please respond to the RSVP and outline the material that you wanted to bring to the exhibit. Volunteers can attend to the exhibit in 2-4 hour session.
OTEA will provide entrance and parking tickets to the fair, so this will be a good opportunity to speak about engineering and enjoy the fair afterwards.
Please RSVP by July 15, 2019 so we can provide the counts for the tickets and parking tag.
