IEEE VTS Philadelphia Chapter Meeting

Basler Electric has been designing, building and manufacturing Electrical Equipment to the Energy Industry since 1942 at our headquarters in Highland, IL. With the early 2019 release of the BE1-11d, Basler Electric now has electrical control and protection equipment options for nearly every traction system.  The original BE1-11 release for AC systems was in 2008. Coverage now includes locomotive, DC, 25 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz and 100 Hz systems. Basler Electric protective relays apply to each system. Locomotives also utilize Basler Electric voltage regulators and genset controllers. The presentation will review Basler Electric’s traction solutions briefly with a larger focus on the BE1-11d for DC systems. Core protective relay functional elements will be discussed in addition to relay extras such as communication, memory and flexible programmable logic. A past DC system project will be reviewed to show how the BE1-11d will meet application requirements.

Attendees may apply for 1.0 PDH upon completion of lecture for a cost of $5.00.
Certificates will be provided through the IEEE Certificates Program, accepted in all states.

Lunch will be provided complementary (pizza/soda).
