National Symposium on Futuristic Technologies
It gives us great pleasure to announce that the IEEE BVM SB had organized the "National Symposium on Futuristic Technologies (NSFT’19)”. The symposium was held at the Birla Vishvakarma Mahavidyalaya Engineering College, Anand, Gujarat, India on 3rd and 4th October 2019. The symposium’s theme was on delivering advanced knowledge for the futuristic technologies in different engineering domains.
We are honored to let you know that this symposium focused on "Challenges and Opportunities for the Future Technologies”, in different domains. The speakers who have an illustrious career and experience in their respective fields of knowledge had delivered the talk at our program. As India is advancing in technology day by day, their expertise can help our student participants understand the scenario from firsthand experience. Students and academic professionals who are in diverse fields of engineering came to know about the challenges and opportunities for the same.

Dr. Shiv Mohan
Remote Sensing and Space Technologies
Dr. Shiv Mohan served ISRO for about thirty-three years (1978- 2011) and evolved microwave remote sensing applications in India. He was Principal investigator of many International Announcements of opportunity research projects on microwave remote sensing from European Space Agency, NASA/DLR, Japanese Exploration Agency and Italian Space Agency.

Presently, he is visiting Scientist/ Faculty at PLANEX Project/PRL, CEPT University, Gujarat University and NIRMA University for research and teaching geoinformatics. He is the founder Chair of the IEEE Geoscience and Remote sensing Society- Gujarat Chapter.

Mr. Siddharth Rajhans is a Harvard educated first-generation technology entrepreneur, a Silicon Valley Technocrat, management researcher, TEDx and entrepreneurship speaker and Pioneer of the Outernet Technology in India and the Asia Pacific Region.
His Startup “Spacify” which has been working to provide satellite-powered internet or “Outernet” in Singapore and parts of rural India as part of the Digital India initiative. This was the same project in which he received the patronage of the Former President of India Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
