IEEE SE Michigan Computer Society chapter in conjunction with IEEE Student Branch of Oakland University would like to invite you to the IEEE Day 2019!

IEEE Day is celebrated the first time in history when engineers worldwide and IEEE members gathered to share their technical ideas in way back 1884!

WHAT: Join students, faculty, young professionals, and members for a networking event. We will also hold Student Branch elections!
WHY: Expand your network, meet others!
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME? It’s *FREE* to attend! Well, you do still have to get here...
NOT A MEMBER? No problem! We want to meet you, so come see what IEEE is all about!

Biography:

Sharan Kalwani is currently working as a High Performance Computing (HPC) engineer and Project Specialist. His responsibilities include active participation in several initiatives, help users harness the power of HPC towards solving many of the worlds tough problems. Sharan brings a high degree of engineering, industrial business and strategic value perspective towards greater adoption of use of HPC in many facets of our lives. Sharan has a Masters degree in Computer Science (Wayne State University) and Bachelors degree in Engineering (Delhi College of Engineering -University of Delhi). He has nearly 25+ years of experience in major areas of architecture, systems, development, device driver writing, networking, a myriad of several engineering design applications, technical & scientific frameworks, and compilers and libraries. He enjoys teaching, history, social media, public speaking and outreach. He is the 2017-19 Chair Education Society & Vice-Chair of CS SE Michigan local Chapters. He also leads the SIG for Linux in the SEMCO users group and has been a founding member of MUG.org (the oldest open source users group in Michigan).
