This presentation will include an overview of power generation technologies in the United States vs the rest of the world, the major factors driving generation choices and then dive into the evolution of nuclear power generation – current technology, as well as exciting developments for the future of Gen IV reactors of all types and sizes. Scott Ingalls of Zachry Nuclear Engineering
Biography:
Scott Ingalls is currently Manager of the Engineering Analysis Group at Zachry Nuclear Engineering. Scott is a Professional Engineer in Connecticut & Alabama, with degrees from UCONN (BSME) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) (MSME). He started his career in the power industry over 27 years ago at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station, before moving on to nuclear engineering firm Proto-Power. After a three year stint in Pennsylvania supporting the 17 nuclear units then owned by Exelon, Scott returned to Proto-Power, which is now owned by Zachry Nuclear Engineering.
