The design of large-scale offshore wind generation projects continues to evolve as competition heats up, manufacturing capability ramps up and technological advances are made. As project awards increase into the gigawatt range, the integration of renewable energy into weak coastal grids creates new challenges and new opportunities. This presentation will provide a high-level overview of the various transmission components involved in interconnecting large-scale offshore wind.
