CTS WIE, TEMS, YP and EdSoc: E-Week Kickoff! Policies! Candidates and more!
IEEE Event, brought to you by IEEE Young Professionals, Women in Engineering, Technology and Engineering Management Society and Education Society
How does national policy affect funding for R&D? How does it affect K-12 education? How are international candidates for degree programs or jobs affected by our visa programs?
And how are our elections affected by social media? What is the threat from cyber attacks and what are we doing to protect our upcoming elections?
Meet candidates for the US Congress, Julie Oliver and Wendy Davis. We'll have an opportunity for questions about the candidates' positions on R&D funding, science and engineering education, ethics and more. Plus we'll have a discussion of the role of social media in elections.
Joseph Kopser will answer questions about US Tomorrow, a non-profit dedicated to promoting civic engagement and education.
