Jing Zhao will give a presentation on Medtronic and medical device industry for the Lunch and Learn at the University of Colorado Denver Department of Bioengineering on Tuesday, February 11, 2020. He will provide an overview of Medtronic including its history and current product portfolio to give the audience an insight into the global medical device industry. Dr. Zhao is a Principal Engineer and Technical Fellow at Medtronic's Minimally Invasive Therapies Group in Boulder responsible for developing intelligent surgical devices in the operating room. He is a graduate of Tsinghua University (B.Eng), The Ohio State University (PhD), and the University of Minnesota (MBA).

Biography:

Dr. Zhao is a Technical Fellow  at Medtronic's Surgical Innovations Business Unit in Boulder, doing early research & technology development for the Medtronic electrosurgery. He is a graduate of Tsinghua University (B.Eng), The Ohio State University (PhD), and the University of Minnesota (MBA).





Agenda

There will be a light lunch, followed by a brief discussion about IEEE and EMBS, and the main presentation followed by a short Q&A.  



The Presentation will be in the First Floor Classroom near the vending machines of Bioengineering Building 2. Parking is available behind the building or across Montrose Avenue in the Henderson Parking Garage.
