1st Annual Susquehanna Section Capstone Award
1st Annual Sisquehanna Section Capstone Award
The Susquehanna Section is pleased to host its first 1st annual Capstone Award. This award goes to the best Capstone project from the 6 area engineering and computer science schools in the Susquehanna Section Area. Every year senior students are required to participate in a project that is related to their course of study in order to qualify for graduation. The 6 area schools have been invited to submit to the Section what they consider to be the their best Capstone project from their school. A judging panel from the Susquehanna section then determines which Capstone Project is the best from all participating schools. The winning project team will be given a total cash award of $500 and a certificate of achievement from the Section.
All projects are to submitted to the Section's Student Activities Chair before the end of May. A judging panel is then formed to review each of the submitted projects. The panel will not know which school has presented which project to ensure an unbaised judging. By the end of June the awards will be given and the winners will be posted on the Susquehanna Section web site ieee.org/susquehanna. Full details of the Capstone Award process and the judging criteria are posted on the Secton's web site.
The purpose of the Capstone award is to encourage regional students to enter the fields of engineering and computer science.
