Abstract:

Mr. Don McComas will be at the EATON facility located in Moon Township, PA, focusing on Metering and Codes governing the power and energy industry. Companies today need to be on the cutting edge when it comes innovation and EATON is leading the way with innovative Metering across the globe.

Biography:

Mr. Don McComas - serves as the Chief Engineer for Metering at Eaton Corporation located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania USA.

Don graduated from Duke University in 1980 with a BSME degree. Don joined the Westinghouse Power Systems Marketing Training program. Don had a variety of roles ranging from Sr. Sales/Application Engineer and Division Marketing Representative working with Utility Revenue Metering, LV/MV Instrument Transformers, and Liquid and Dry Type Small Power Transformers.

From 1990-2004, Don served as the Product Manager for Power Quality and Energy meters for Schneider Electric. In this role, Don was involved in global product management and new product development activities in Metering, LV and MV Protection, as well as Connectivity and Software products.

Don joined Eaton in 2004 as a Manager of Engineering and Marketing for Meters. In 2013 Don assumed the role of Chief Engineer for metering and is involved in the development and application of Eaton’s Energy and Power Quality meters. Don is involved with submetering for NIST and NEMA industry groups.

Directions from the Pittsburgh: Take I-376 W / US-22 W / US-30 W toward Airport. At Exit 57, take ramp to right for I-376-BL West toward Moon. Bear right and follow signs for Ewing Rd. Turn Right onto Ewing Rd. At the top of the hill turn left onto Cherrington Pkwy. Building is a half mile down on your right. Enter the building at the front entrance and sign in with the security guard.
