Jessica Bian, Director of Performance Analysis, North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC),

2007 – 2013 (6 years)Greater Atlanta Area

• Directed NERC’s metrics and performance analysis programs, encompassing the Electric Reliability Organization’s efforts to independently review, assess, and report grid reliability performance

• Oversaw NERC’s availability data systems essential for establishing a robust risk registry and harm reduction model

• Led NERC’s annual State of Reliability publication. The key findings and recommendations serve as authoritative input to NERC’s reliability standards and compliance programs

Project Manager and Lead Engineer, PJM Interconnection

2002 – 2007 (5 years)Greater Philadelphia Area

• Project Manager for new Dispatch Operations Training Simulator (OTS)

• Project Manager for Fault Tree Analysis project

• DAT Team Lead (multi-discipline Detailed Analysis Team) - Responsible for investigating operational events/areas where PJM can improve its operations metrics and act as a champion to ensure approved improvements are made

• Developed various EMS and market system training materials and presented them in both classroom and simulator environment

Agenda

The seminar fee includes lunch, refreshments and handouts.  Non-members joining IEEE within 30 days of the seminar will be rebated 50% of the IEEE registration charge.

Four hours of instruction will be provided.  If desired, IEEE Continuing Education Units (0.4 CEUs) will be offered for this course - a small fee of $45 will be required for processing.
