Tarbela was a very large hydro project which met with a whole litany of serious problems. Guest speaker, David Hepburn, was
site manager in 1980 to 1981, and the intention was to give
this presentation to the Hatch Engineering staff on how they
might have done better...

    From Buffalo - either take the QEW to Sodom Rd, or follow the Niagara Parkway. The restaurant is right in Chippewa about 1/2 mile from the river.

    From Hamilton - take Hwy 47 from QEW into Chippewa.

David was Resident Manager at the Tarbela Hydro Project for Acres International (acquired by Hatch Ltd). He is a Life Member, IEEE Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and recipient of the 2013 M.B. Broughton Central Canada Merit Award for advising educators who use Teacher In Service Program lesson plans co-developed by IEEE and IBM.
