Photonic Society of the IEEE North Jersey Section invites you to attend the following talk on October 12, 2016 at 4:00 PM:

With the introduction of new and disruptive technologies, new applications, new devices, new modes of digital connectivity, deeper levels of analytics and global competition, the norms and business practices continue to transform at a rapid rate. Corporations scramble to keep pace by way of downsizings, mergers, acquisitions, outsourcing, re-organizations and re-structuring. Many corporations go out of touch, out of date and in some cases, out of business. Both employers and employees struggle to keep pace. Employees are left on their own to redefine how they interact in a new, increasingly competitive, digitized workplace. The “Me” Enterprise is a new paradigm in employee behavior in terms of how they engage and interact with their employers and take responsibility for their careers. The “Me” Enterprise is an employee, manager or leader who creates his own mission statement, own strategy and own blueprint for success. The “Me” Enterprise is an enterprise of one who treats his company not as employer, but as customer. Based on his recently published book “Emergence of the ‘Me’ Enterprise’, this talk will provide a historical and analytical view of how digitization has disrupted the workplace and will outline a set of practices and values, described as the “Me Enterprise Blueprint” to serve as a recipe for surviving and thriving in this ‘ you are on your own’ environment.
