The presentation provided an introduction to power electronics, explaining its interdisciplinary nature and components. Prof. Soniya Agrawal, an ExCom Member of PELS Bangalore chapter, started the session by welcoming the speaker. Dr. Basu emphasized the significance of power electronics in everyday applications and discussed ongoing research activities at IISc, as well as opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The session encouraged active participation with lively discussions and Q&A sessions. Dr. Sateesh Kumar Kuncham, Assist. Prof. Dept of EEE, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli concluded the session with Vote of thanks.
