QUIZZINO
IEEE SIT SB organised a quiz competition named "QUIZZINO" on Saturday, April 20. The quiz was based on various topic like technical, aptitude, current affairs, general knowledge, sports and entertainment. A total of 14 teams participated in the quiz, which each team consisted of 1-3 members.
The quiz started at 10am. First of all, the host welcomed all the participants and briefed about the competition. It had total 3 rounds. The first round was named Elimination Round as its motive was to eliminate maximum teams from the competition. It was a pen and paper where teams were given a question paper and 15mins time was given to solve it. The question paper was well blend of various types of questions. Out of 14 teams, 6 teams were eliminated and 8 teams got qualified for the second round.
The second round was called audio-visual round where 8 teams competed to qualify for the final round. In this round, an image/audio/video was shown/played on the screen and questions related to that were asked. This round was very interesting round as teams were given opportunity to choose topic of their choice for the question, based on their rank in round one, and one more interesting thing was a twist in this round, teams were allowed to challenge each other to earn extra points. 4 teams out of 8 got qualified for next i.e. final round.
The final round was a buzzer round. There were 10 questions in this round for 4 teams, whichever team hits the buzzer first gets the opportunity to answer. There was a tough competition among all the teams, all teams strived to get the top rank. However, two teams, Team Prem and Team Samarth got ahead. Team Prem got ranked 1st while team Samarth got second rank.
The event ended with prize distribution.
