PES DAY 2024 Event-Empowering Electric Mobility Innovation - A Symposium on Electric Vehicle Transport in the Context of Low-Carbon Transformation
IEEE PES Nanjing Chapter Successfully Hosts PES DAY 2024 Event
The IEEE PES Nanjing Chapter, in collaboration with the Electric Power System Professional Committee of Jiangsu Province Electrical Engineering Society, successfully organized the event titled "Empowering Electric Mobility Innovation - A Symposium on Electric Vehicle Transport in the Context of Low-Carbon Transformation" on April 24, 2024. The event aimed to explore critical issues surrounding electric vehicle transport in the context of low-carbon transformation, focusing on the development trends, policy guidance, technological innovation, and practical applications in electric vehicle transport, providing in-depth insights and strategic guidance to the industry.
Distinguished experts and scholars from the field of electric vehicle transport were invited to the symposium, including Chair of IEEE PCCC and Professor at Tsinghua University, Chongqing Kang; Research Fellow and Chief Expert at NARI Group, Jindai Zhu; Professor and Ph.D. Supervisor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Southeast University, Wei Xu; Chairman of Jiangsu Yunsong Clean Energy Investment Holdings Co., Ltd., Jianfeng Li; Chairman of Jiangsu Electric Investment EasyCharge New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., Xin Li; Chairman of Nanjing Zero Carbon Intelligent Transportation Technology Co., Ltd., Yifei Ye; Research Fellow at State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Research Institute, Xiaodong Yuan; and Associate Professor at the School of Transportation, Southeast University, Linfeng Zhang. They shared their research findings, industry practices, and innovative ideas in electric vehicle transport through specialized presentations, presenting attendees with an enriching academic feast.
The symposium was chaired by Professor Tang Yi, Chair of IEEE PES Nanjing Chapter and Ambassador of PES DAY 2024, with Dr. Wu Yingjun, Secretary-General of IEEE PES Nanjing Chapter and Ambassador of PES DAY 2024, serving as the contact person for the event. The event commenced with a welcoming address by Professor Tang Yi on behalf of the Nanjing Chapter, followed by a presentation by Chair Chongqing Kang representing IEEE PCCC, introducing the activities of PES DAY 2024 in China. Subsequently, the invited experts delivered keynote speeches. They engaged in in-depth discussions with attendees on technological innovation, policy environment, and market prospects in electric vehicle transport, collectively exploring electric vehicle transport's significant roles and development paths in low-carbon transformation. Participants unanimously called for intensified technological innovation and enhanced industry collaboration to jointly propel the rapid development of the electric vehicle transport industry, contributing to the establishment of a clean, efficient, and sustainable energy future.
The successful organization of this event not only provided an essential platform for exchange and cooperation in the field of electric vehicle transport and contributed wisdom and strength to the promotion of low-carbon transformation and sustainable development. Looking ahead, the IEEE PES Nanjing Chapter will continue to uphold the principles of "innovation, cooperation, and sharing," striving tirelessly for the advancement and progress of the electric vehicle transport industry.
