STAR PROGRAM, APRIL
IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) MSIT and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS) MSIT collaborated to organize a STAR event at Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya (SKV), Janakpuri. The primary aim of the event was to promote STEM-related career options among girls and encourage them to consider pursuing science.
The event commenced with a presentation delivered by the team, highlighting various career opportunities available in the field of science. The presentation covered diverse STEM disciplines, showcasing the wide array of career paths that students interested in science could pursue. The interactive nature of the session allowed for active participation from the students, who enthusiastically engaged with the material presented.
Following the presentation, an interactive session was conducted where students were encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts. The response from the students was overwhelming, with many expressing their interest and curiosity about STEM-related fields. This session served as a platform for students to interact directly with professionals and gain valuable insights into different career options.
To further engage the students, a quiz was organized, testing their knowledge on STEM subjects. Chocolates were awarded to all participants who provided correct answers, adding an element of fun and excitement to the learning process. The quiz witnessed remarkable participation, with students showcasing their enthusiasm and eagerness to learn.
As a gesture of support and encouragement, notebooks,pens and snacks were distributed to all the students present at the event. This small token aimed to inspire the students to continue their educational journey and pursue their interests in science and technology.
