This presentation examines some of the challenges in electronic design and how simulation can enable engineers to predict complex electronics systems performance. Simulation is critical for designs that are too difficult to physically test and enables engineers to understand exactly why and how a product performs.   Various electromagnetic and coupled physics (mechanical, thermal) applications will be used to demonstrate the benefits of simulation using ANSYS products.

Web Meeting

To join the meeting, follow these steps:

Go to: https://caeainc.webex.com/caeainc/onstage/g.php?MTID=e8ec874b9694107821c0d159cdafc0fbc

                       OR

In your web browser type:  caeainc.webex.com

(Note: If your company does not permit the installation of the WebEx applet, there will be an option at the bottom of the browser window that directs you to continue without installing anything on your system.  Click on this link to join the meeting.)

VOIP & Teleconference

A VOIP stream of the audio will pop up. You can close the window if you do not wish to use VOIP.

A "Teleconference" dialog box will appear once you have logged in successfully to the video portion of the Webinar.

Note:  If you don't get the dialog box or have closed it by accident you can bring it back up by clicking on the "Communicate" menu on your top toolbar and then choosing "Teleconference > Join Teleconference".

1.  Please dial the following # 1-855-749-4750

2.  Enter the meeting number located above in red and press #.

3.  Enter the Attendee ID number (this will be given once logged to the WebEx meeting and the "Teleconference" dialog box appears.)

You will be in queue until the conference call begins.

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact CAE Associates at 203-758-2914.

Charlotte Blair, Ph.D. – ANSYS Lead Application Engineer – High Frequency Products

Biography:

Dr. Charlotte Blair is a Lead Application Engineer for ANSYS, Inc supporting the high
frequency product applications. She specializes in HFSS which is an FEM electromagnetic
simulation software code for RF and Microwave devices. Prior to working at ANSYS she
worked at Radio Frequency Systems as a Filter Design Engineer where she designed, built and tested
prototypes of various cellular band pass filters. Currently she is the IEEE Connecticut Section Chair for
the MTTS/APS/UFFC and WIE societies and IEEE Region 1 Public Visibility Chair. She is also the
Technical Program co-chair for the 2016 IEEE R1/R2 WIE Forum. Charlotte received her BSEE from
Rutgers University and her MSEE and PhD EE at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).
