John Liddy of Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.

Biography:

John Liddy is a US Navy submarine veteran and graduated from Drexel University in 1993 with a BS in electrical engineering. He worked in General Electric Company’s power management division for 8 years in various roles in R&D and product support. In 1999, he joined PECO Energy as a senior relay engineer, where he played a major role in relay protection design of PECO’s transmission and distribution system. In 2009, John joined Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. as a field application engineer and now serves as SEL’s Northeast Regional Technical Manager where he manages 20 field application engineers. John has been an IEEE member since 2009, is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, a past president of PSPE Philadelphia chapter, and an adjunct professor at Drexel University.
