Project-based learning programs for young people of Holyoke and the surrounding community. Holyoke Codes offers free workshops inspiring kids to learn about coding, robotics, and technology. Kids develop technical skills in a supportive environment that encourages creativity, systematic reasoning, collaboration, and confidence. Classes are in fact provided to all, with students from 5 to 72 being served.

Holyoke Codes is an education and outreach program ofn  the Massachusetts Green High Performance Computing Center (MGHPCC) in partnership with local IT educators and professionals. Our overall goal is to provide access to fun and engaging technology to students who would not otherwise have the opportunity.

There is a great need for supplemental technology and engineering programs. Our schools currently lack the resources, training, or time to maintain effective programs to adequately educate our students in technology. Holyoke Codes was launched in 2014 to help meet this need.

We encourage diversity, reaching groups underrepresented in the technology industry including people of color, low-income families, and girls. Access to these opportunities can transform their lives as kids are empowered to become creators in our new digital world.
