Join us in a visit to the Seymour-Capilano Water Filtration Plant!

Located in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, this is the largest drinking water filtration plant in Canada. It has been operating since 2009 and can treat up to 1.8 billion litres per day. The main drinking water treatment processes are filtration and UV. The building is LEED* gold certified and includes EcoSmart Concrete, generates low CO2 emissions and uses less energy and water.

The tour will be guided by the plant’s personnel and include technical details and explanations regarding the engineering process.

Fully closed footwear is required. PPE will be provided at the plant.

Transportation is included. We will depart from Waterfront Station, Vancouver, BC at 12:30 PM.

*LEED: Leadership Energy and Environmental Design.
