Basics of Paralleing Generators and Grounding Recommendations
This presentation provides a comprehensive overview of a power system and dives into the fundamental parameters needed to parallel generator sets together and how these parameters are controlled in a distributed logic architecture. The presentation describes the common building blocks of a power system and when a digital master control is needed and how it fits in the overall power system design.
The second of half of the presentation will cover system grounding methods for on-site generators. Discuss methods of ground fault sensing, when and how to switch the neutral conductor, resistance grounding and grounding of paralleled generator sets.
