Electromagnetic theories of consciousness: Spectrum of Spirit and Self Realizations
Theorists differ in how they relate consciousness to electromagnetism. Electromagnetic field theories (or "EM field theories") of consciousness propose that consciousness results when a brain produces an electromagnetic field with specific characteristics.
Some electromagnetic theories are also quantum mind theories of consciousness; examples include quantum brain dynamics (QBD). In general, however, quantum mind theories other than these QBD approaches do not treat consciousness as an electromagnetic phenomenon. It is interesting to note that EM field-mediated communication into models of brain function has the potential to reframe discussions surrounding consciousness including "Operational Architectonics framework of brain-mind functioning"
Water comprises 70% of the brain, and quantum brain dynamics (QBD) proposes that the electric dipoles of the water molecules constitute a quantum field, referred to as the cortical field, with corticons as the quanta of the field. This cortical field is postulated to interact with quantum coherent waves generated by the biomolecules in neurons, which are suggested to propagate along the neuronal network. The idea of quantum coherent waves in the neuronal network viewed as a means by which order could be maintained in living systems, and argued that the neuronal network could support long-range correlation of dipoles. This theory suggests that the cortical field not only interacts with the neuronal network, but also to a good extent controls it.
The field theories of consciousness do not appear to have been as widely discussed as other quantum consciousness theories; however, others argue that quantum theories of consciousness suffer from the same weakness as more conventional theories. Just as arguments are based on that there is no particular reason why particular macroscopic physical features in the brain should give rise to consciousness because there is no particular reason why a particular quantum feature, such as the EM field in the brain, should give rise to consciousness either. Despite the existence of transcranial magnetic stimulation with medical electronics purposes, that tests looking for the influence of electromagnetic fields on brain function have been universally negative in their result, However, a number of studies have found clear neural effects from EM stimulation.

This talk is based on Dr. Hans Chaudhary’s self-realization about the Consciousness, which is a fundamental thing in existence ---it is the energy, the motion, the movement of Consciousness that creates the universe and all that is in it--- not only the macrocosm but the microcosm is nothing but the Consciousness arranging itself. It is there even when it is not active on the surface. It can determine its own reactions or abstain from reactions.
One needs to raise the level of own's own Consciousness to arrive at own's own Real Self or the Spirit within ourselves, because the Mind alone is incapable of conquering the negative thoughts which results in helplessness, depression and even physical ailments.
The Spirit is the observer, the controller, calm, eternal, unaffected by any action or in-action, and Blissful as experienced by highly realized Souls. The methods to arrive at the Spirit will be dwelt upon and its relationship with modern science will be discussed for the benefit of the attendess.
Biography:
Dr. Hans Chaudhry is Emeritus Professor, Biomedical Engineering, New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. Before coming to USA in 1990, he was Professor and Chair of Applied Sciences, Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh, India and Director of Technical Education in Chandigarh administration, India
His primary interest is Spirituality to investigate the origin and purpose of life. In that pursuit, he has published three books titled Spiritual Poems (Aspire and Inspire), The Ultimate Goal, and The Philosophy and Science of Consciousness, available from Amazon. He has also printed six booklets titled Smiling Happiness, Love, Awaken Your Consciousness, Spiritual healing, God and Me, The Self or The Spirit, for the benefit of students and common man.
For humanitarian work, he is the founder of God’s Home for rehabilitating and imparting formal education to parentless children in a village near Chandigarh, India. Prior to that he worked for 30 years in rehabilitating leprosy patients and their children in Chandigarh. He has also established a shelter home for helpless patients coming for treatment from different states in India to the Cancer Center, Chandigarh. India. In addition, he has recently started a free dispensary in a village near Chandigarh, India.
