The presentation will cover the application process and technical requirements for connecting customer generation to PECO’s distribution system.  Customer generation may include solar, battery, wind, synchronous machines and induction machines. In addition, regulations and standards such as PECO’s Gray and Yellow books, and IEEE Standard 1547 will be discussed.

George Sey, Jr., PE of PECO

Biography:

George Sey Jr., PE attended Pennsylvania State University earning a B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2004, and a M.E. in Systems Engineering in 2011 respectively. George became employed by PECO in 2006 as a distribution electric dispatcher.

 

In 2010, George transitioned from the Operations Control Center to the position of Distribution Capacity Planning Engineer within Central Engineering at PECO headquarters. George has also been the primary technical presenter of his engineering group in regards to customer interfacing and utility-interactive distributed generation system requirements over the past few years. Effective Jan. 2017, George became the Lead Engineer of a newly established distributed energy resource (DER) Integration Team for the entire PECO service territory.
