The Singularity: Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Mankind
A panel consisting of Ruben Xing (Montclair State University), Peter Mandik (William Paterson University, author of Cognitive Science) and Edward Tenner (author of Our Own Devices: How Technology Remakes Humanity) explore the notion that artificial intelligence will eventually outpace human intelligence due to the ever expanding power of computers based on Moore’s Law and alter our destiny. This point in time is known as the “Singularity.”
This event is being organized by Montclair State University, and is co-sponsored by the IEEE North Jersey/New York Information Theory Chapter.
