FIRST LEGO League tournament

FIRST LEGO League State Championship January 14, 2017 from 7 AM - 6 PM @ Roger Williams University, Bristol 40 teams gather for a fast-paced event that featured robot game matches and judging to determine which teams will win awards, and which win the RWU Scholarships and will participate in the FIRST World Festival or North American Open. Qualifying Tournaments are similar to a competitive sporting event.

PLEASE NOTE: Certification is required for Judge Advisors at any official FIRST LEGO League tournament and for Judges at all FIRST LEGO League Championship tournaments. It is optional for Judges at most qualifying level tournaments. If you are not sure what level tournament you have volunteered for, or if Certification is required for your event, contact your Tournament Director.

Returning judges: If you completed your judge certification in the previous season, you will need to complete the new season test portion. You can access the Learning Management System via GoToCertification in your VIMS account.

If you wish to change your application, please visit https://my.usfirst.org/vims.

FIRST requires that all US and Canadian volunteers of age 18 years or older applying for an event role must complete screening every 3 years. If you were screened in the last 3 years, you will not be required to complete screening this season. Screening is initiated directly from the VIMS registration site after event application.

Please note that you will not be eligible to be assigned to a role at a FIRST event until you have submitted your screening order and received a 'Passed' status. If you were previously screened and passed, your profile will indicate that status. We encourage you to begin the screening process as soon as possible.

For screening questions, please contact the Youth Protection Department at (800) 871-8326 Ext. 207 or 250, or at SafetyFIRST@usfirst.org.

If you have other questions or need assistance, please email the FIRST Volunteer Resources Department at volunteer@usfirst.org.
