0 July 2016\n\nno. of participants: 120\n\nBranch counsellor: Sri G.Mallik
arjun Rao\n\nObjective:\n\nThe 'PCB workshop' event was conducted as a par
t of IEEE CBIT.The main objective of the workshop is to give students a ba
sic idea of the designing and fabrication of Printed Circuit Boards(PCB).
The event aimed at involving the second year ECE students. The event provi
ded them with an opportunity to get practical experience and learn outside
the classroom more in the core subjects.\n\nEvent details:\n\n- The event
was inaugurated by ECE HOD Dr. N.V.Koteshwara Rao sir and co-ordinated by
G.Mallikarjun Rao sir and Kiran Kumar sir. IEEE Executive body played an
active role in organising the sessions in association with Mr.Srinivas of
Prayog Labs pvt. ltd.\n- The workshop was held for one complete day from 9

nto 2 teams. While one team attended the software session the other team w
as in laboratory designing the tracks on PCB boards.\n- The The workshop m
ainly deals with learning KiCAD software which is used for the design of P
CB. Then the designed circuits are fabricated on Copper boards in the labo
ratory .\n- The PCB design also involved drilling into the copper boards a
nd soldering components in their respective slots.\n- The event was made s
