 hetana Auditorium\, the event commenced by lightening of lamp and a prayer
  song\, followed by introductory speeches by the dignitaries. It enhanced 
 the significance of the event by the esteemed presence of Mr. Ramakrishna 
 Kappagantu\, IEEE R10 (Asia - Pacific) Director. He is the additional GM o
 f Power Grid Corporation of India Limited\, Southern Regional Transmission
  System- II.\n\nThe event was divided into three sessions in which two are
  on technical topics and the other is regarding transition of a student to
  Young Professional.\n\nSession 1:\n\nTopic: Scalable platforms for Hyper 
 Scale Applications\n\nSpeaker profile: Mr. Radhakrishna Singuru is current
 ly working as Principal Architect and Practice Head\, Product Engineering 
 Services\, Wipro Technologies. He has joined Wipro more than 21 years ago 
 and did his M.Tech in CSE from IIT Kanpur. He has a huge experience in wor
 king in varied areas ranging from Hyper Scale Application Engineering\, An
 alytic Platforms\, Cloud and Virtualization Technologies and many more.\n\
 nOverview on the session:\n\n• The speaker apprised the audience of Hype
 r Scale Applications and its key characteristics.\n\n• He had let the pa
 rticipants know the key concepts of Scalable Platforms.\n\n• He also ill
 ustrated the sample use cases and best practices in building Hyper Scale A
 pps.\n\nSession 2:\n\nTopic: Student to Young Professional Transition\n\nS
 peaker Profile: Vamshi Krishna J has completed his B.Tech in Electronics a
 nd Communication Engineering from Vignana Bharathi Institute of Technology
  and is currently working as Head of Academic Relations at stuMagz.com. He
  has been an active IEEE Volunteer since 2012 and has organized/volunteere
 d more than a 100+ events under IEEE holding various volunteer positions. 
 He is a passionate fiction reader/writer and an avid traveler.\n\nOverview
  on the session:\n\n• The speaker addressed the audience on the life aft
 er B.Tech and also\, the different options one can opt after B.Tech.\n\n
 • He made the crowd aware of the real meaning of engineering and also sp
 oke about his engineering career.\n\n• The participants were acquainted 
 with the importance and benefits of IEEE as a student as well as a Young P

 ker Profile: Dr. Abhinav Kumar received the B.Tech degree in Electrical En
 gineering and M.Tech degree in Information and Communication Technology\, 
 and the PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of 
 Technology\, Delhi. From December 2013 to November 2014\, he was a postdoc
 toral fellow at the University of Waterloo\, Canada. Since November 2014\,
  he has been with Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad\, India\, as an
  assistant professor. He is also a member of IEEE.\n\nOverview on the sess
 ion:\n\n• The speaker discussed about various resource allocation scheme
 s that have been used in practice in existing cellular networks.\n\n• Va
 rious challenges in resource allocation in the presence of heterogeneous n
 etworks were examined.\n\n• Finally\, he illuminated the minds of partic
 ipants with various key technologies for 5G like M2M communications\, mmWa
 ve communications.\n\nReview:\n\nAll the three sessions were found magnifi
 cently interesting and helpful to the participants. Students could get to 
 learn the subject out of text books which would be beneficial in their fut
