 all the members present in the meeting.\n\nAgenda Item #1: Ratification of
  minutes of the previous meeting.\n\nDiscussion: The minutes of previous m
 eeting were read by the Secretary.\n\nAction Item: With the consent of all
  present members minutes were approved.\n\nAgenda Item #2: Financial Suppo
 rt to 2017 International Conference of Computational Intelligence: Theorie
 s\, Applications and Future Directions (ICCI-2017).\n\nDiscussion: Secreta
 ry informed that “2017 International Conference of Computational Intelli
 gence: Theories\, Applications and Future Directions (ICCI-2017)” is goi
 ng to held at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur\, India from December 
 6th – 8th\, 2017. He proposed that the sum of INR 30\,000 can be given t
 o the ICCI-2017 as IEEE CIS UP Section Chapter has funds. He also informed
  that the mentioned funds were generated through earlier conference i.e. 
 “2017 IEEE Workshop on Computational Intelligence: Theories\, Applicatio
 ns and Future Directions (IEEE WCI 2015)” which held during December 14t
 h – 17th\, 2017. He added that IEEE CIS members are getting discount for
  registration in ICCI-2017 which may attract the CIS memberships.\n\nActio
 n Item: The proposal was approved with the consent of executive committee 
 members to support the ICCI-2017.\n\nAgenda Item #3: Membership Drive and 
 Lectures to encourage researchers in Computational Intelligence.\n\nDiscus
 sion: The scheduled lectures were held at Kanpur Institute of Technology\,
  Kanpur\, India on August 26th\, 2017 on Deep Learning and Computational I
 ntelligence. The researchers were encouraged to become the member of IEEE 
 Computational Intelligence Society (CIS). A membership drive was also arra
 nged at the venue to promote CIS membership and related activities.\n\nAct
 ion Item: All the present members were encouraged towards CIS promotional 
 activities.\n\nAgenda Item #4: Towards Logo support for ICCI-2017 from oth
 er Ministries.\n\nDiscussion: Vice Chairman asked to provide the write up 
 related to the conference explaining basic conference details such as obje
 ctive\, scope\, topics of interest etc. He also asked to include the detai
 ls of earlier conferences i.e. IEEE WCI 2015\, IEEE WCI 2013\, in the writ
 e up. Secretary asked Ms. Teena Sharma to provide the same. Vice Chairman 
 asked the researchers among present members for the problems/issues/cases/
 aspects in practical challenges to encourage young students or researchers
 .\n\nAction Item: Ms. Teena Sharma was asked to provide the write up relat
