DESCRIPTION:Fiber Optic technology has become a critical design element in
the Cyber Technology infrastructure as it can\nsupport the increased bandw
idth\, communication topologies\, and data rates necessitated by the user
 base.\nNovel approaches including\; switched networks\, optical multiplexi
ng\, and amplification further expands the\noptical reach to achieve the F
TTx\, Last Mile objectives\, and Distributive Antenna System (DAS) in-buil
ding\nenhancement. However\, as this growth becomes more prominent\, the n
umberless ways to thwart\, infiltrate and\neven steal the data stream has
increased as well. This presentation will discuss the several ways that op
tical\ndata paths are used\, and highlight the vulnerabilities specific to
these various infrastructures. Examples of\ntechnical solutions shall be
presented to address the strengths and vulnerabilities inherent within Fib
er Optic\nnetworks.\nDino Giordano is the Principle RF Design Engineer foc
using on Distributive Antenna Systems (DAS) and Wireless products for\nMic
rowave Photonic Systems (MPS). Dino directs MPS in the design and developm
ent of active distributive antenna system products.\nHe has been positione
d in the DAS enhancement industry for over 18 years. Dino has taken on the
part of innovated lead for many\nDAS orientated company’s\, previously
as the Director of Engineering for Fiber Span. Having an extensive underst
anding of products\,\nsystems\, and market trends\, he drives himself to o
ffer a full comprehensive solution for a multitude of engineering requirem
