She requested Prof. V. Sinha to give a n insight into IEEE and its benefits. Prof. V. Sinha addressed the student s about how IEEE provides an international level platform for institute-in dustry interactions\, soft-skills training programmes\, technical symposiu ms\, international university fairs for the benefits of both undergraduate and graduate students. Then Ajeet Kumar Singh\, Chair of IEEE Student bra nch MNIT introduced the new committee members of IEEE MNIT student branch. The new committee members are Ajeet Kumar Singh as Chair\, Anand Kumar Mi shra as the vice-chair\, Venu Sangwan as the Treasurer\, Akanksha Shukla a s the secretary and Pankaj Kumar Singh as Publicity Chair. He further gave the detailed presentations about the existence student branch\, number of active IEEE student members and past activities. He also declared the upc oming events to be conducted in the following year and the vacant position s of execom committee.\n\nVishu Gupta made orientation program interesting by initiating a question-answer round related to IEEE. Audiences actively participated in this round and gifts were distributed to the students giv ing correct answers. Further Vishu requested Dr. Rajesh Kumar to encourage students to join IEEE. Sir told students how we have put our institute on international map by forming a student branch. He further informed studen ts about the various scholarship and project grants provided by IEEE to st udents and how organizing IEEE events at institute level has benefitted pa st students. He also spoke about the media used by IEEE. The official maga zines of IEEE are IEEE Spectrum and IEEE Potential.
